Attica Community News

It’s beginning to look a lot like…

Along with several of his new friends and neighbors, Clarence Turner recently enjoyed making his own hand-made Christmas Decorations during a leisurely afternoon at Autumn Trace.  Mr. Turner moved from his home in Covington, IN during October of 2017 and has thoroughly enjoyed becoming a part of the Autumn Trace Family.

Over the next several weeks, decorating for the holiday season will be a focal point during our Life Enhancement Programming as our residents, staff and management prepare for the many guests and visitors who will joint us for a meal, a snack or a hot beverage during this most wonderful time of the year.

Happy Anniversary!

Allen and Betty Jo Switzer recently celebrated 71 years of marriage, complete with family, friends and a beautiful wedding cake graced with the same cake-topper used at their wedding when they were just 21 years old.  The Switzers celebrated the occasion in the Autumn Trace Motion Room, commonly used for exercise and other activities.

Both Allen and Betty Jo have always been history buffs, so it’s no surprise they took such care of important items like their cake decor.  In his earlier years, Allen served in the US Army and was stationed in Korea.  When he was discharged, he returned to the US with Korean silk that Betty Jo’s mother used to make her wedding dress.  Betty Jo graduated from Lakeview as a Registered Nurse, which was her occupation while Allen was running the family farm.

The Switzers moved to Autumn Trace from their home in Covington, IN during November of 2017 and we couldn’t be happier to share this occasion with them and their family.
