Starting the Conversation

Autumn Trace hosted a free seminar, provided by PhysioCare Home Health, to learn the importance of discussing your healthcare plans and wishes with loved ones.  Many people wait far too long to have this talk, which can cause a very stressful and hectic time when health needs change and are needing more attention.

This event took place in the main dining room within our senior community on Thursday, March 15th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.  Light refreshments were served and tours of Autumn Trace followed upon request.  Educational seminars on important topics for senior living occur regularly at Autumn Trace so visit our website often for upcoming events!

Spring-Time Cook-In

Autumn Trace hosted a cook-out style meal in the main dining on Thursday, March 1st to celebrate the upcoming start of spring with our many residents and guests from the surrounding community!  With the coming of spring later in the month of March, we decided to celebrate a little early.  This was a FREE event with a full meal, dessert and live music.  The management team provided tours to interested guests to show off our lovely decor and community layout.  This event will likely take place again during the spring of 2019 so keep a look out for announcements!

Happy Anniversary!

Allen and Betty Jo Switzer recently celebrated 71 years of marriage, complete with family, friends and a beautiful wedding cake graced with the same cake-topper used at their wedding when they were just 21 years old.  The Switzers celebrated the occasion in the Autumn Trace Motion Room, commonly used for exercise and other activities.

Both Allen and Betty Jo have always been history buffs, so it’s no surprise they took such care of important items like their cake decor.  In his earlier years, Allen served in the US Army and was stationed in Korea.  When he was discharged, he returned to the US with Korean silk that Betty Jo’s mother used to make her wedding dress.  Betty Jo graduated from Lakeview as a Registered Nurse, which was her occupation while Allen was running the family farm.

The Switzers moved to Autumn Trace from their home in Covington, IN during November of 2017 and we couldn’t be happier to share this occasion with them and their family.
